Music Theory Class

           Members of the Music Theory class are students that are interested in learning to write music.  These students will be required to obtain provide their own manuscript paper for the class.  They can do this by purchasing it at our local music stores or by downloading it on the internet by clicking here for free manuscript paper.   They will also be assigned a Music Theory textbook and workbook, to be used for this class. 

            We will progress from learning the  musical elements to four part writing and beyond.  Each student will be evaluated on their individual progress throughout the school year.  They will be required to complete and turn in homework every class.  The students will also be tested on other musical skills test throughout the year.  We will also work on projects using the Sibelius Music writing software.
